Parallel to the rapidly increasing world population, the need for foodstuffs increases, urbanization and changes in people's lifestyles, the need for high-quality and diverse foodstuffs, the development of travel and transport facilities, new food processing and marketing methods to control consumer food importance has increased. In order to compete with industrialized countries in the production of quality food, to meet the needs of consumers in the best way and to contribute to the efficient operation of the enterprises working in this field, quality control based analyzes are of great importance. Effective quality control, which is an important step in ensuring food safety, will positively affect compliance for our country on the road to European Union. Graduates of Food Processing Department; will be able to provide food inspection and control services in compliance with the regulations in the production, processing and distribution stages, including the primary production stage of the foodstuffs and materials in contact with the foodstuff, grows as elements. They are also qualified individuals who have the knowledge and skills of sampling, sensory, physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of the samples taken at all stages of the process from production to consumption. Our department has started teaching activities in 2016-2017 academic year with 50 students. The first graduates were in 2017-2018 academic year. The language of instruction is Turkish. The duration of education is 2 years (4 semesters). Students who successfully complete the 2-year education program and internship are given an Associate Degree. Totally 10 classrooms, 2 computer labs, 1 conference room, 1 library and 2 food laboratories and 1 cafeteria, 1 canteen, 1 basketball and volleyball court in our school. , 1 Football Field and 1 Chess Field are available.
